Good morning 🌅 I wanted to write about my day yesterday. It was a very nice day. I met several beautiful people as I worked yesterday. I had some amazing conversations with different people. I left the corporate job because I felt disconnected, despite interacting with people on a daily basis. A lot of chatter, gossip, and toxic behaviors lead to me quitting. It was a hard decision, but one I felt compelled to make. I started working with Lyft , as I searched for new opportunities. I had lost that unique way of connecting with people before I left my previous job. I was going to work every single day, giving myself time to heal from the experience of working for an industry that doesn’t care about anyone except numbers and outcomes. It was very discouraging to me to not even get a hello. The customer complaint from yesterday was the focus and that’s all that mattered. In a world of to-do list, a world evolving into AI ,and technology taking over, we must remember we are human. If we don’t remember this simple truth, we will all become robots walking around with no feelings and no emotions. God made us human and it’s important we don’t lose sight of this.
